Field Training for Female Students of QU’s Media Department Wraps Up at QNA

Doha: The field training program for female students at the Qatar University (QU)’s College of Arts and Sciences – Department of Media, Print Journalism Track was concluded, on Sunday, at the Qatar News Agency ‘s Training Halls.

The program ran from June 4 until July 7 at the QNA’s Data, Analysis and Documentation Department, and included theoretical and practical information in editing, publishing, as well as analysis and documentation, and reviewing the journalistic tools utilized in analyzing and documenting news and daily bulletins, in addition to preparing reports and leveraging cutting-edge technologies in this regard.

Female students had the opportunity to review the QNA’s operation mechanism in this critical field and engaged in preparing, analyzing, and documenting numerous daily news through using professional programs in QNA.

Additionally, the field training program enabled them to upgrade their practical capabilities through their daily engagement with the work team to review the daily news a
nd capitalize on QNA’s journalistic expertise.

At the conclusion of the training session, the QU’s female students presented their theses that reflected the editing skills and practical expertise they had internalized during their training session in QNA, with the objective of gauging their benefits from this training session, along with the QNA’s superb experience afforded to QU.

The supervisors of the field training, Head of the Media Department at QU, Dr. Wael Abdel Aal, Dr. Mohamed Al Amin Musa, and Dr. Abdulmatlib Sadeq, participated in the closing training session.

The field training was an opportunity to have a closer look at the journalistic and work experiences at one of the most critical media facilities in the State of Qatar to provide the training opportunity for them through a superb field and practical experience at QNA.
