Manama, Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, President of the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA), and Yasser bin Ibrahim Humaidan, Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs, visited the emergency centre at the Capital Governorate.
This came as a part of the inspection visits to the emergency and maintenance centres to ensure their readiness for various situations and the sustainability of electricity and water services.
The EWA President highlighted the importance of adopting the best practices to meet the increasing demand for electricity driven by urban, industrial, and commercial growth.
He noted that the authority operates through four emergency and maintenance centres in the four governorates. Each has a team to examine stations and do regular maintenance, and inspect network loads in order to deal with any malfunction before it occurs.
Minister Humaidan affirmed the importance of continuing to develop the infrastructure by providing sustainable services with the highest standards of efficiency, noting the k
ingdom’s ability to provide reliable services by international standards.
