Egyptian, Sudanese Foreign Ministers Meet to Address Sudan’s Stability and Sovereignty

CAIRO: Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty met on Sunday with his Sudanese counterpart Ali Al Sharif during the latter’s visit to Cairo, to deliberate on the current situation in Sudan and discuss collaborative efforts for regional stability.

According to Qatar News Agency, Abdelatty expressed Egypt’s unwavering support for Sudan, underscoring its dedication to actively participate in both regional and international initiatives aimed at fostering stability within Sudan. This commitment includes protecting Sudan’s interests along with maintaining its sovereignty and territorial integrity amidst ongoing challenges.

Additionally, the discussions between the two ministers encompassed the significance of respecting Somalia’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity. They emphasized the importance of backing Somalia’s endeavors in combating armed groups, reflecting a shared understanding of the broader security issues affecting the region.
