Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey Criticize Israel’s Actions in Gaza Strip

Cairo: Egypt, Qatar and Turkey, in their capacity as mediating countries, expressed their strong condemnation and denunciation of the ongoing Israeli violations in the Gaza Strip, particularly the targeting of health facilities and installations, and the resulting civilian casualties, including women and children, which constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, in the joint statement, the mediators Egypt, Qatar and Turkey stressed the need for the Israeli occupation to abide by all its obligations under international law and to fully comply with the ceasefire agreement, stressing that the continuation of these violations constitutes a breach of the agreement, undermines efforts to implement its second phase, threatens the path to calming the situation, and increases the suffering of civilians in the Gaza Strip.

The mediators reiterated their call for ensuring the full protection of civilians, medical facilities and humanitarian workers, and securing the unhindered access of humanitarian aid and medical supplies to all parts of the Gaza Strip, calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities and exert the necessary pressure on the Israeli occupation to fulfill its obligations under international law and the ceasefire agreement, in order to ensure the completion of the implementation of US President Donald Trump's peace plan.
