Ramallah – Ma’an – The Ministry of Education confirmed that the process of registering Gaza students in Egypt is continuing, through a specialized team from the Ministry and the Palestinian Embassy in Cairo, including high school students for the year 2024, who have enrolled in the distance education program, repeat students, and special studies students. (homes), and students who have not completed one or two subjects in the year 2023 are stranded Palestinian school students currently in the Arab Republic of Egypt, as the Ministry has sent a specialist to complete this at the embassy headquarters.
The Ministry reported that 800 students from the Gaza Strip have registered to take the high school exam in Egypt according to special arrangements that will be announced at that time, in addition to approximately two hundred students spread across other countries.
In the context; The Ministry indicated that it opened 19 schools in the West Bank, where Gazan students abroad receive distance education, as male and
female teachers, school principals, and educational supervisors volunteered.
The Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Amjad Barham said that the Ministry pays great attention to providing everything that would serve students in the Gaza Strip and alleviate their suffering resulting from the occupation and its continued aggression against them, and the systematic destruction that the Strip witnessed that affected children, school and university students, and educational and academic staff, stressing that what the Ministry is doing embodies Its responsibility and commitment to defend the right to education and ensure the provision of all means to enable Gaza’s students to obtain their right to education despite the harsh scene and the effects of the occupation’s aggression.
Barham thanked the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Embassy of Palestine in Cairo for their cooperation and efforts, praising the efforts of male and female teachers from the West Bank who volunteered in their schools that regular
ly provide education to Gaza students remotely.
