Economy, Trade and Industry Committee of Qatari-Saudi Coordination Council Holds First Meeting

The first meeting of the Economy, Trade and Industry Committee of the Qatari-Saudi Coordination Council was held through video conferencing.

The meeting was co-chaired by HE Minister of Commerce and Industry of the State of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al-Thani, and HE Minister of Economy and Planning of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Faisal bin Fadel Al-Ibrahim, in the presence of a number of officials in both countries.

During the meeting, the two sides highlighted the firm brotherly relations between the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and ways of enhancing and promoting them to achieve common interests; and discussed topics listed on the meeting’s agenda, mainly the mechanisms to activate the import and export initiative between the two countries.

The two sides also discussed the strategic objectives of the Economy, Trade and Industry Committee and ways to consolidate integration and aspects of joint bilateral action, in line with the economic visions of the two brotherly countries.
