Doha: HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs, Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thani, engaged in discussions with HE Minister of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Lieutenant General Shukhrat Kholmukhamedov, along with his accompanying delegation, during their visit to the State of Qatar.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting focused on the latest developments and security updates in the region. Both sides explored various aspects of military cooperation and joint coordination in light of the prevailing circumstances. This dialogue highlights the ongoing efforts to enhance bilateral defense relations between Qatar and Uzbekistan.
The significant meeting also resulted in the signing of a memorandum of understanding on military cooperation between the Qatari Ministry of Defense and the Uzbek Ministry of Defense. This agreement is expected to strengthen military ties and collaboration between the two nations.
