Department of Meteorology Warns of Poor Visibility, Strong Wind and High Sea Tonight.

Doha: Weather inshore tonight until 6:00 am on Sunday will be relatively cold with haze and misty to foggy at places later, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report, warning of poor horizontal visibility at places later. Offshore, it will be fine, the report added, warning of strong wind and high sea at places at first.

According to Qatar News Agency, wind inshore will be mainly northwesterly to southwesterly at a speed of 03 to 13 knots gusting to 20 knots at places at first, becoming variable later. Offshore, the wind will be northwesterly at a speed of 08 to 18 knots, reaching up to 25 knots at places initially.

The visibility is expected to range from 04 to 09 kilometers or reduce to 02 kilometers or less at places initially. The sea state inshore will vary between 1 to 3 feet, while offshore, it will range from 3 to 5 feet, surging to 7 feet at places initially.

The report also provided information on the tide timings in various areas. In Doha, high tide is expected at 05:36 and
16:18, with low tide at 12:01 and 23:15. Other areas such as Messaid, Wakrah, Al Khor, Ruwais, and Dukhan have also been provided with respective high and low tide timings. Sunrise is expected at 05:52 LT and sunset at 16:44 LT.
