Department of Meteorology Warns of Poor Horizontal Visibility

Doha: The Department of Meteorology has issued a warning regarding the weather conditions inshore until 6:00 pm on Tuesday, highlighting the potential for misty to foggy conditions in certain areas initially. The forecast suggests moderate temperatures during the day with some cloud coverage, transitioning to relatively cold and misty conditions at night. A warning has been issued for poor horizontal visibility expected in some areas, particularly at the start of the day.

According to Qatar News Agency, offshore weather conditions are expected to be hazy at times with some clouds. Inshore winds will initially be variable, eventually becoming mainly southeasterly to northeasterly at speeds of 5-15 knots. Offshore winds are also predicted to be southeasterly to northeasterly, maintaining the same speed range of 5-15 knots.

Visibility inshore is anticipated to vary between 4-9/2 kilometers, while offshore visibility is expected to range between 4-9 kilometers. The sea state inshore is predicted to range from 1-3 feet, whereas offshore conditions are expected to see sea states ranging from 2-4 feet.
