DOHA: The Department of Meteorology has issued a warning concerning poor visibility conditions both inshore and offshore due to mist and fog, which are expected to persist until 6:00 pm on Monday. The daily weather report predicts moderate daytime temperatures with some cloud cover, transitioning to colder conditions by nightfall.
According to Qatar News Agency, the inshore weather will initially be misty to foggy in certain areas, accompanied by variable winds that will shift to a northeasterly-southeasterly direction at speeds of 3-13 KT. Offshore conditions will mirror the inshore visibility challenges, with initial mist and fog giving way to hazy and partly cloudy skies. Wind speeds offshore are expected to range from 2-12 KT, transitioning from northwesterly to northeasterly-southeasterly directions later in the day.
The sea state is predicted to remain calm, with inshore waters measuring 1-2 feet and offshore waters at 1-3 feet. Visibility is anticipated to range from 4-9 km inshore, potentially dropping to 2 km or less in certain areas initially. Offshore visibility is expected to be between 4-8 km, with similar reductions possible at first.
