The Customs Training Institute held a graduation ceremony for the participants in the customs inspection programme, which aimed to provide the customs officers with the necessary knowledge and skills.
The programme was prepared by the Training and Development Directorate at the Customs Affairs, in accordance with the policies and procedures used in customs affairs in the field of customs inspection. Present was Director- General of Resources and Information Systems at the Customs Affairs.
Director- General of Resources and Information Systems confirmed that this programme was designed with high professionalism to suit business requirements and implementation of the strategic objective in the Strategic Plan for Customs Affairs 2021-2024 “, aligning plans and programmes with the government’s work programme, the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 and the policies of the World Customs Organization.”
The Customs Affairs believes in providing attention and care to all its employees within the framework of building capabilities and providing needs, as it is the largest investment on which Customs Affairs relies to achieve the desired development and sustainability.
The programme included addressing marine transport, combating commercial fraud, protecting intellectual property rights, shipping containers, warehouse management, valuation of precious metals and stones, financial intelligence, goods and postal parcels, land transport means and travellers.
