Commercial Bank Reports 7.5% Increase in Profits During First Nine Months of 2023

Doha, The net profits of Commercial Bank, a Qatari public shareholding company, have increased by 7.5 percent during the first nine months of 2023, reaching QR 2.365 billion, compared to a net profit of QR 2.201 billion in the same period of 2022.

The earnings per share were QR 0.56 for the period ending on Sep. 30, 2023, compared to QR 0.52 per share for the same period in the preceding year.

HE Chairman of Commercial Bank, Sheikh Abdullah bin Ali bin Jabor Al-Thani, said that the bank has maintained its strong financial and operational performance throughout the first nine months of 2023, and this is evident as Fitch Ratings has reaffirmed its rating at “A-” with a positive outlook, which demonstrates the bank’s ability to persevere and effectively execute its strategic plan, adding that this confirmation is driven by strong support from Qatari authorities and reflects Qatar’s robust ability to support its local banks.
