China Successfully Deploys New Communication Technology Test Satellites

Doha: China sent new communication technology test satellites into space from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in north China's Shanxi Province on Thursday. The satellites were launched aboard a modified Long March-6 carrier rocket and entered their planned orbits successfully.

According to Qatar News Agency, the satellites will be mainly used for services such as satellite communications, broadcasting and television, and data transmission, as well as to carry out related technology tests and verification. This marks the 660th flight mission of the Long March carrier rocket series.

On July 29, 2026, China launched the 659th mission of the Long March series carrier rockets aboard a Long March-7A carrier rocket from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site on the coast of the southern island province of Hainan, and the satellite entered the preset orbit successfully.
