CENTCOM: Houthis Attack Greek Cargo Ship

The Houthis in Yemen struck the M/V TRANS WORLD NAVIGATOR, a Liberian-flagged, Greek-owned, and operated bulk cargo carrier in a suspected uncrewed aerial system (UAS) attack, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said in a statement.

The crew reported minor injuries and moderate damage to the ship, but the vessel has continued underway. The ship most recently docked in Malaysia and was en route to Egypt, according to the statement.

This marks the fourth attack by the Houthis on the M/V TRANSWORLD NAVIGATOR.

This continued malign and reckless behavior by the Houthis threatens regional stability and endangers the lives of mariners across the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, CENTCOM stressed.
