director-general Abdulla Khalil Buhejji attended the 99th session of the Arab Media Standing Committee.
The meeting which was being held in Rabat, the Kingdom of Morocco, precedes the 53th session of the Arab Media Committee, set to be held on Wednesday.
Buhejji stressed the importance of the issues featuring on the agenda of the standing committee, aimed to further promote Arab media cooperation, in light of regional challenges and fast technological shifts.
He stressed Bahrain’s commitment on supporting joint cooperation aimed to enhance the reality of Arab media through effective visions and initiatives.
The session stressed the importance of stepping up media support to the Palestinian issue, and enhancing the pan-Arab media strategy to implement the 2030 sustainable development goals.
The session also discussed the importance of incorporating media education and eco-media in the curricula and drawing up a unified strategy to deal with international media companies.
