Barham discusses with UNRWA the latest developments in education in light of the current challenges

the Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Amjad Barham, in his office today, Julia Dekem, Director of the Education Department at the International Relief Agency (UNRWA), To discuss developments in education in light of the current circumstances and the challenges it faces in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Barham stressed the centrality of the ongoing partnership and cooperation between the Ministry and UNRWA, and the importance of coordinating joint efforts. To discuss all scenarios, plans and solutions that can save the academic year, and what can be provided to the students of the Gaza Strip. Especially high school students, he also reviewed the cooperation mechanisms to deal with the plan to compensate students in the Gaza Strip once the aggression ends, stressing the need to exchange experiences between the two sides. This ensures consistency and integration of interventions.

In turn; Dekem stressed the importance of this meeting, which comes under extremely complex circumstances, noting the
agency’s keenness to develop visions and solutions that would provide elements that support education and support efforts to provide the maximum that can be provided to students.
