Bahrain’s experience in supporting youth entrepreneurship highlighted

Youth Affairs Minister, Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, has underlined Bahrain’s keenness to develop the youth entrepreneurship sector, being among the promising and fast-growing sectors that contribute to Bahrain’s economic growth.

She indicated that Bahrain promotes the entrepreneurship culture among its youth, and launches initiatives that encourage them to be entrepreneurs.

The minister was speaking while receiving here today the Head of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Investment and Technology Promotion Office in Bahrain (UNIDO – ITPO Bahrain), Hashim Hussain, and Chairman of the Shenzhen Federation of Youth Entrepreneurship Promotion, Chen Daixing, in addition to several members of the Federation.

She lauded the solid friendship relations between the two countries across various fields, particularly youth, highlighting the keenness of the Youth Affairs Ministry to increase its coordination and cooperation with UNIDO – ITPO Bahrain and the Shenzhen Federation in China to highlight the kingdom’s efforts in the field of youth entrepreneurship and take advantage of the successful experiences of various countries.

She briefed the delegation about Bahrain’s vision and efforts in the youth sector and youth entrepreneurship, as well as the main programmes and initiatives launched by the Youth Affairs Ministry to support youth enterprises.

She also discussed with the delegation cooperation opportunities in the youth and entrepreneurship fields.

Hashim Hussain commended the youth Affairs Ministry’s efforts to support youth entrepreneurship, expressing UNIDO’s readiness to cooperate with the Ministry to boost youth enterprises.

Chen Daixing praised Bahrain’s “promising” experience in supporting youth entrepreneurship, affirming the keenness of the Shenzhen Federation of Youth Entrepreneurship Promotion to cooperate with Bahrain’s Youth Affairs Ministry to advance youth enterprises in the two countries.
