His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, received today at Riffa Palace in Manama, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
During the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah conveyed to Prince Salman the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and their wishes for further growth and prosperity for Bahrain and its people.
HRH Prince Salman welcomed the visit of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah and his accompanying delegation to participate the 10th session of the UAE-Bahrain Joint Higher Committee, and conveyed his greetings to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, and his wishes for further progress and prosperity the UAE and its people.
He highlighted the deep-rooted and distinguished relations that Bahrain and the UAE share at various levels, and the attention that the two leaderships give to their relations, which has yielded many achievements across various areas of their cooperation, further benefitting the two nations and their peoples.
Prince Salman praised and expressed his appreciation for the UAE’s stances towards the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people, and underscored the UAE’s active role regionally and internationally and its efforts in promoting joint Arab action and promoting security, stability and peace.
He also commended the outcomes of the meetings of the Joint Higher Committee, which contributed to strengthening and expanding the scope of bilateral cooperation, which helps achieve the desired integration at various levels, as well as the Committee’s efforts to enhance their economic and investment partnership and achieve the aspirations of the two countries and their peoples.
For his part, Sheikh Abdullah stressed that the UAE-Bahrain relations provide a distinctive model of strong and fruitful bilateral relations between countries, noting that the UAE and Bahrain are keen to move forward in boosting bilateral cooperation and developing all areas of joint work to drive development in both countries and yield more benefits to their peoples.
The UAE top diplomat expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Bahraini Crown Prince and Prime Minister for his keenness on enhancing cooperation between their countries and peoples to achieve their aspirations, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain continued development and prosperity.
HRH Prince Salman hosted a luncheon in honour of the UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and his accompanying delegation.
The meeting was attended by Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State, Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Ambassador to Bahrain, and Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, Assistant Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
