In honor of the late Khalil Al Hashemi's distinguished artistic journey, the 49th Bahrain Annual Fine Arts Exhibition features a selection of the artist's most significant artwork that transcend cultural barriers.
The exhibition is open for the public until July 10 where in addition to this year's entries from local artists, visitors can discover Al Hashemi's latest creations; featuring gold pieces from Devji Aurum Jewelry inspired by the late artist.
Al Hashemi is also the designer of Al Dana Award statuette, which is a prize awarded every year to the first winner in the exhibition.
With 55 Bahraini and expatriate artists participating this year, the exhibition showcases more than 100 works that include from paintings, sculptures, installation works, photography and video; all of which use a variety of materials, techniques, and belong to different art schools.
