Doha:The Secretariat General of the Arab League has expressed strong condemnation of the Houthi group's launch of ballistic missiles targeting various cities and regions in Saudi Arabia.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Arab League released a statement on Friday describing these repeated attacks as a dangerous escalation and a direct threat to Saudi Arabia's security and stability.
The League reaffirmed its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, expressing firm support for all measures taken by Riyadh to safeguard its sovereignty, national security, and territorial integrity in accordance with the UN Charter and international law.
The Arab League emphasized that the ongoing Houthi escalations significantly hinder political efforts aimed at achieving a comprehensive resolution to the Yemeni crisis. It reiterated its support for regional and international peace initiatives that are based on agreed frameworks and relevant UN Security Council resolutions, particularly Resolution 2216, to maintain Yemen's unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
