Adel bin Abdulrahman Al-Asoomi, Arab Parliament (AP) Speaker, has lauded the accession of Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to the BRICS group, affirming that the move reflects the bloc’s confidence in Arab economies, and enhances its relations with the Arab world.

He stressed that the keenness of Arab countries’ leaders to integrate into economic blocs of global weight supports their future vision towards raising the standards of their people, improving the level of the Arab citizens and achieving their aspirations, expressing his hope that this step would contribute to serving Arab interests.

Al-Asoomi also indicated that the move reflects the success of the economic strategies adopted by new Arab members of BRICS, as their accession proves that they have met all the economic requirements thanks to the successful visions of their leaders,
