Bethlehem – Ma’an – Yesterday and today, Saturday, the Israeli occupation forces arrested at least 15 citizens from the West Bank, including a woman who was held hostage by the occupation, and former prisoners.
The Prisoners’ and Ex-Prisoners’ Affairs Authority and the Prisoners’ Club explained that the arrests were distributed across the governorates of Jenin, Nablus, Ramallah, Hebron, Qalqilya, and Jerusalem.
They pointed out that the occupation forces continue to carry out widespread acts of abuse during arrest operations, accompanied by severe beatings and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to widespread sabotage and destruction of citizens’ homes, and the confiscation of vehicles.
Thus, the total number of arrests after October 7 rose to about 8,680, and this total includes those who were arrested from homes, through military checkpoints, those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, and those who were held hostage.
It is noteworthy that the data related to arre
st cases includes those who were kept in detention by the occupation, or those who were later released.
