Amiri Diwan Announces Eid Al-Adha Holiday Schedule for 2026

Doha: The Amiri Diwan has announced the schedule for the Eid Al-Adha holiday for various sectors in the country. The announcement outlines specific dates for ministries, government entities, public institutions, and financial bodies.

According to Qatar News Agency, the holiday for ministries, other government entities, and public institutions will commence on Tuesday, Dhu Al-Hijjah 9, 1447, corresponding to May 26, 2026. The holiday will conclude on Saturday, Dhu Al-Hijjah 13, 1447, which corresponds to May 30, 2026. Employees in these sectors are expected to resume work on Sunday, Dhu Al-Hijjah 14, 1447, equivalent to May 31, 2026.

For Qatar Central Bank, banks, and financial institutions operating under the supervision of Qatar Central Bank and Qatar Financial Markets Authority, the determination of the holiday schedule will be made by the Governor of Qatar Central Bank. The announcement allows these financial entities flexibility in setting their holiday dates, ensuring they meet operational needs while observing the festive occasion.
