Doha:His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani has issued Amiri Decision No. 37 of 2026, announcing the appointment of the Board of Trustees for Tamim bin Hamad University for Military and Technology Sciences.
According to Qatar News Agency, The new board will be chaired by the Commander-in-Chief of the Qatar Armed Forces, with the Minister of State for Defense Affairs serving as Vice Chairman. Other members include the Minister of Interior, the Minister of Education and Higher Education, the Minister of Transport, the Head of the State Security, and the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces.
Additional board members are the President of the National Cyber Security Agency, the President of Qatar University, Dr. Mariam Ali Sultan Al Maadeed, and Sheikha Dr. Dena bint Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani. The decision also grants the board chairman the authority to appoint further members with the necessary expertise and competence.
The decision takes effect immediately from the date of its issuance and is to be published in the official gazette.
