Doha: The Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (AMAN), a center governed by the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, is participating in the 33rd Doha International Book Fair (DIBF) through “My Book is My Friend” initiative, as it has been eager to provide several counters with a bookshop POS containing story books for kids.
The initiative obviously achieves AMAN’s strategic objectives though raising awareness of the targeted segments from children, as well as forging societal partnerships with a variety of external bodies.
Executive Director of AMAN Center Sheikh Dr. Nasser bin Ahmed Al-Thani underscored that the center is committed to designing new innovated programmes for the protection of women and children, in addition to leveraging cutting-edge technologies to draw the targeted segments, in pursuit of achieving the center’s mission in spreading awareness and protecting families from disintegration.
These are the impulses behind the “My Book is My Friend” initiative which features counters with a
bookshop POS showcasing books for children sold at affordable prices, he highlighted, affirming that the counters operate in the same manner of the prevalent sweet and beverages selling shops and have been designed in accordance with special specifications tailored for children with easy-to-use features.
