Algerian Minister of Finance Laaziz Faid discussed Thursday with his South African Finance Minister Enoch Godongwan, ways to enhance economic cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, the two ministers discussed the available opportunities to enhance trade exchange and joint investment, with the aim of achieving sustainable development in the region.

The South African minister expressed his country’s support for Algeria’s accession to the BRICS Bank, stressing that all possible efforts will be made to speed up the accession process.

The issues raised at the 15th BRICS Summit were also reviewed, especially those related to financial and monetary cooperation.
