Al Raya Highlights Qatari Mediation’s Role in Peaceful Settlement of International Disputes

Doha: Al Raya newspaper affirmed Qatar’s commitment to the United Nations Charter and the established principles of international law, including obligations under the charter to resolve international disputes through peaceful means. It noted that Qatar has made it clear to everyone that it puts its mediation efforts in the service of humanity.

In its editorial today the newspaper said that Qatar consistently adheres to mediation as the only means to peacefully resolve crises, wars, and conflicts. Qatars foreign policy is based on the principle of promoting international peace and security by resolving international disputes through peaceful methods.

The editorial pointed out that the demand for Qatari mediation efforts has increased due to its neutral approach, which focuses on the rights of the conflicting parties. In a new diplomatic achievement, Qatar announced the success of its mediation in reuniting 14 children from Ukraine and Russia with their families.

It added that Qatar’s continuous mediation ef
forts to reunite children with their families in Ukraine and Russia are an extension of its approach to mediation and resolving conflicts through peaceful means, in accordance with the principles of international law. These efforts also reflect Qatars firm commitment to humanitarian principles and international solidarity, as it provided medical care and special assistance to three Ukrainian children during these operations.

The editorial concluded by saying that Qatar emphasizes that humanitarian work cannot be limited to relief efforts alone. Instead, it calls for joint political action at all levels to find solutions to the current global crises. Through its distinguished relief and humanitarian work, Qatar has conveyed the message that everyone is united in humanity, and that what brings us together is much greater than what divides us. Qatar believes that the Russian-Ukrainian crisis does not only concern the two countries, but its catastrophic effects extend to the entire world. It consistently urges a
