Al-Dahhak: Granting Palestine full UN membership a recognition of Palestinians’ inalienable legitimate right.. West’s obstruction prolongs instability

Admitting Palestine as a full-fledged UN member. represents a commitment to the principles of the international laws, fulfilment of rights, and recognition of the Palestinians’ inalienable, legitimate right, said Permanent Representative of Syria to the United Nations, Koussay al-Dahhak, before the UN General Assembly.

Ambassador al-Dahhak noted that the Israeli occupation continues its war crimes in Gaza, with it claiming the lives of 35,000 Palestinians, the majority of them are women and children.

‘Syria underlines that the USA and a number of its allies’ obstruction of the establishment of an independent sovereign Palestinian state on Palestinian soil will only contribute to prolonging the instability created by the Israeli occupation of the lands in Palestine, Syria and Lebanon,’ Ambassador al-Dahhak added.

‘My country, Syria, condemns in the strongest terms the ongoing barbaric Israeli aggression against the brotherly Palestinian people and the accompanying repeated attacks on Syrian territory and o
n our people in the occupied Syrian Golan, and demands an end to these attacks,’ Ambassador al-Dahhak went on to say.

Syria reiterates its support for the Palestinian people in their struggle to liberate their occupied land and stresses the necessity of immediate stop of the Israeli aggression, along with providing urgent humanitarian aid to the Palestinians in Gaza, and preventing forced displacement, Ambassador al-Dahhak underscored.

Syria warns of the dangers of the Israeli occupation invading of the city of Rafah, which is the last resort for the Gazans in their country, stressing the need to hold Israeli war criminals accountable, Ambassador al-Dahhak concluded.
