Ramallah – Ma’an – Al Baraka Islamic Insurance Company, represented by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Eng. Awad Allah Ibrahim Awad, signed a cooperation agreement to provide insurance services with major agricultural companies represented by businessman Muwaffaq Daraghmeh, at the company’s headquarters in Ramallah. The agreement was signed in the presence of the General Manager Abdul Hakim Qasim, Board Member Ahmed Ibrahim Awad, and a team from the company’s executive management.
The agreement, which came after a long period of research and study, aims to create a fruitful and sustainable partnership to be worked on, and to prepare the conditions to encourage and attract additional agricultural investments. The agreement stipulates the insurance of thousands of agricultural dunums, especially in the Jordan Valley region and the city of Tubas, considering that these areas are characterized by their agricultural nature, in order for the agricultural sector in this country to be an important factor and
a source of primary income in the absence of other sources of wealth. In addition, the company aims to provide and enhance its insurance services in all agricultural fields, noting that a branch of the company was opened in the city of Tubas and specialized experienced crews were appointed to provide them with insurance benefits and services for owners of agricultural projects.
For his part, the General Manager of Al Baraka Company, Abdul Hakim Qassim, expressed the importance of this partnership that brought together the two companies in light of the difficult circumstances that the Palestinian people are going through, especially in the agricultural sector, pointing out the importance of agricultural insurance, both animal and plant, to strengthen rural communities and provide farmers and producers with protection and support in the face of risks, in order to advance the reality of agriculture in the Palestinian territories, especially since the company focuses in general on the idea of ??insurance coverag
e, specifically agricultural, and in order to build a more sustainable agricultural economy.
For his part, Muwaffaq Draghmeh stressed his pride and happiness with this partnership and said: ‘This achievement and this alliance came as a result of days, weeks and months of joint work and serious effort until this agreement was signed. He praised the speed of the technical teams in providing service to customers and the rapid response around the clock. He added that this step will contribute to raising the level of insurance protection, and that it will be a new beginning and a roadmap, especially for the agricultural sector, and thus enhance the opportunities for growth and development of this sector.
