The Ahmed Al Fateh Islamic Centre attracted more than 21,000 visitors from 110 countries in 2022.
According to statistics released by the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, more than 4,834 people visited the centre last December, the highest monthly turnout to be recorded.
Religious Affairs Acting Director Dr. Ali Al Rayyes stressed the importance of the Ahmed Al-Fateh Islamic Center, which represents one of the most prominent tourist destinations of Bahrain.
“The centre annually attracts many delegations and visitors from all over the world, being Bahrain’s largest mosque with its exquisite Islamic artistic style”, he said.
Apart from delegations senior officials, thousands of tourists who arrived in Bahrain during the cruise tourism season last year also visited the Islamic landmark in Manama.
Meanwhile, Ahmed Al Fateh Islamic Centre Chairman Nawaf Rashid announced that 478 students enrolled last year at the Quran Sciences Section which employs 24 teachers.
Daily and weekly lectures and courses are available for students, including recitation intonation and memorization, in addition to the science of the ten recitations, and Arabic for non-Arabic speaking women.
