Tokyo: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has announced plans for the fourth edition of the AFC Member Associations (MAs) and Regional Associations (RAs) Presidents' and General Secretaries' Conference. This significant event is scheduled for October 21 and 22 in Tokyo, Japan, in collaboration with the Japan Football Association (JFA). The conference is expected to attract over 120 attendees, representing the 47 MAs and five RAs throughout the AFC.

According to Qatar News Agency, the conference serves as a key platform for sharing expertise, exchanging ideas, and fostering networking opportunities among participants. Since its inception in 2023, it has become a vital event on the AFC's annual calendar, providing presidents and general secretaries from across the 47 MAs and five RAs an opportunity to enhance their capabilities.

The sessions will delve into various topics, including AI, global innovation in football, women's football development, and leadership in football. Participants will also have the chance to engage in panel discussions featuring expert speakers. Previous editions of the conference were successfully held in Tashkent, Seoul, and Riyadh, further establishing its significance.

AFC President Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa expressed the AFC's commitment to elevating the capabilities of its MAs and RAs. He emphasized the importance of equipping these crucial stakeholders with the necessary tools to uphold high professional and governance standards, ensuring a promising future for upcoming generations.
