Doha: Indian authorities announced Thursday that nine people were killed and 25 others were injured after a fire broke out on a bus in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
According to Qatar News Agency, nine people were killed in the blaze, while 25 others'who sustained burns'were rescued after the bus caught fire on the Yamuna Expressway in Uttar Pradesh.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the incident was caused by an explosion in the bus's air conditioning system.
