Foshan: At least eight people were killed and one injured after a fire broke out at a textile factory in southern China, said Chinese local authorities on Monday.
According to Qatar News Agency, authorities in Guangdong reported that the incident occurred at a textile factory in the province's city of Foshan. Rescue operations are still underway.
On July 28, people were killed following a fire that broke out at a factory in Xinjiang, eastern China's Fujian Province.
Fire incidents at factories and industrial facilities in China frequently raise issues of workplace safety and fire prevention measures, especially in facilities with large numbers of workers.
