Doha: A 6.7 magnitude earthquake struck southern Philippines today, less than three weeks after a powerful quake hit the same region. The US Geological Survey reported that the quake occurred about 21 kilometers from Sarangani City on Mindanao Island at a depth of 65.7 kilometers. No tsunami warnings have been issued.
According to Qatar News Agency, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck the same island on June 8, killing 80 people and displacing thousands.
