5.5-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Egypt

Doha: An earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale struck east of the Egyptian capital, Cairo, early Monday morning.

According to Qatar News Agency, Egypt's National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics reported that the quake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers. The institute noted that while the tremor was felt by residents, there were no casualties or material damage reported.
