Doha:An earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale struck the coast of Fiji in the South Pacific on Thursday.
According to Qatar News Agency, the US Geological Survey reported that the earthquake's epicenter was at a depth of 637.9 km.
There have been no reports of casualties or material damage as a result of the earthquake. Fiji is situated in the Pacific Ring of Fire, a region known for frequent seismic activity.
