Aspire:The 3rd round of the Sports For All (SFA) Summer Sizzler 2026 attracted 1,089 male and female runners at the Aspire Indoor Track.
According to Qatar News Agency, the event was organized by the Qatar Sports For All Federation (QSFA), which operates under the Ministry of Sports and Youth. It was held in a lively sporting and family atmosphere, characterized by enthusiasm and challenge, reflecting the growing interest in sports.
The general race kicked off at 3 pm and lasted for two hours, with 571 participants of different age groups. The women's race followed from 5 pm to 7 pm, drawing 518 runners. Participants over the age of 17 competed in 30-minute and 15-minute races, while those aged 7 to 17 took part in a 10-minute challenge. Younger children, aged 3 to 6, participated in a five-minute race.
QSFA Executive Director Abdullah Al Dosari highlighted the significant family turnout, noting that the presence of parents encouraged children and youngsters to embrace the challenge and promote physical activity as a daily routine. The event offered children new sporting experiences, motivating them to engage in such activities.
The SFA Summer Sizzler 2026 is part of QSFA's "Sports for All Summer Program 2026," which includes a variety of sporting and recreational events for different segments of society. The first phase of the program saw 36,100 participants. The Summer Sizzler will conclude on Friday with a 4th round, before transitioning to the new SFA Fall Edition 2026 next month.
