The Israeli occupation army has committed further massacres against Palestinian families in the Gaza Strip, which resulted in dozens of casualties amid massive devastation and worsening hunger crisis.
According to medical sources in Gaza, the preliminary death toll from the Israeli shelling in various regions of the central and southern Gaza Strip since Saturday morning has risen to 37 martyrs, adding that 11 Palestinians from one family were martyred and others were injured, mostly women and children, following an Israeli bombardment on a densely populated home in Amal neighborhood in Khan Younis city south of the Gaza enclave.
Additionally, 11 Palestinians were martyred in Israeli shelling in Al-Katiba area in central Khan Younis, while a Palestinian was martyred, and others were injured because of gunfire from the occupation forces targeting displaced persons’ camps west of Khan Younis.
Concomitantly, rescue and civil defense personnel recovered bodies of three martyrs in Rafah city, south of the enclav
e, with dozens of them still under the rubble, with rescue personnel being unable to reach them.
In the central of the enclave, the Israeli occupation’s warplanes bombarded Nuseirat camp, which led to the martyrdom of at least 3 Palestinians and the injury of others, with local sources reporting that the Israeli fighter aircraft targeted a group of Palestinians in Abu Arif area, east of Deir Al-Balah, which led to the martyrdom of many Palestinians.
The sources stated that the that occupation drones fired at the displaced persons’ camps east of Deir Al-Balah, resulting in the death of one person and injuring five others. Additionally, the artillery shelling in the Hikr Al-Jama’a area of the same city resulted in injuries to several Palestinians.
Since the start of the Israeli onslaught on the enclave on Oct.7, 2023, the number of casualties in the Gaza Strip has risen to 40,265 martyrs and 93,144 injured, with a sheer number of victims still under the bombed-out structures, while medical and civil defense
personnel failed in reaching them.
