The 32nd meeting of the GCC Technical Committee for Electrical and Electronic Products, Electric Vehicle Chargers Workgroup, and Workgroup for Energy Efficiency requirement for Water Heaters wrapped up. It was hosted by the Qatar General Organization for Standards and Metrology (QS) over four days with the participation of experts and specialists representing member states.
The meeting reviewed and approved the agenda and the recommendations in the minutes of the previous meeting and followed up on what was done regarding them, in addition to reviewing and approving the draft specification for the requirements for energy efficiency labels and the minimum limits for energy consumption efficiency for air conditioners and the GCC terrestrial radio receiver specifications.
The meeting also discussed the cable specifications, which were amended, as well as the committee’s draft plan for the years 2022 and 2023, the proposal to unify the types of chargers for smart phones and electronic devices, as well as requests to update the specifications.
