BANGKOK: A devastating fire at a six-storey hotel in Bangkok’s Khaosan area has resulted in the deaths of three individuals and left seven others injured. The blaze erupted on the fifth floor of the building, which was occupied by 39 hotel staff and tourists, prompting a swift emergency response.
According to Qatar News Agency, the fire necessitated the deployment of three ladder trucks to facilitate the evacuation of those trapped on the roof and within the hotel. Tragically, a woman was discovered deceased inside a room on the fifth floor, and two other individuals succumbed to their injuries at the hospital.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire, which has raised concerns about safety regulations in the area. The incident has drawn attention to the need for stringent fire safety measures in hotels, particularly those frequented by tourists.
