One person was killed and dozens were injured after a passenger train carrying about 60 people derailed in the Netherlands, the Dutch emergency services said.
The train left the tracks after colliding with construction equipment early on Tuesday, at Voorschoten, about eight kilometers north of The Hague.
“At least 30 people were injured and are being treated at the spot. The seriously injured are being taken to hospital, while 11 are at homes of nearby residents,” Hollands Midden emergency services said.
Dutch Railways said that trains between Leiden and parts of The Hague were cancelled due to the collision. (QNA)
