The UAE Consul-General in Shanghai, Rashid Matar Al Qamzi, participated in the 3rd Maritime Silk Road Port Cooperation Forum on July 11th and 12th in the city of Ningbo in China’s Zhejiang Province.
Held under the theme, “New Changes in Markets and New Development of Ports”, the forum attracted around 400 experts in harbour shipping and logistics from over 30 countries along the Maritime Silk Road. Participants exchanged ideas and ways to meet the challenges in this field.
The city’s Port of Ningbo-Zhoushan is the busiest in the world in terms of cargo tonnage, handling 888.96 million tonnes of cargo in 2015.
A number of officials from UAE ports also participated in the forum.
