H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met today with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah and the accompanying delegation welcomed his country's keenness to strengthen its relations with the UAE, which the Government of Croatia attaches special importance to, in view of the high prestige of the State at the regional and international levels.
During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations between the UAE and Croatia, and the joint cooperation between the two countries that have witnessed progress and development in many fields and means of supporting and developing them in the interest of both sides.
They also exchanged views on the latest developments at the regional and international levels, as well as discussed a number of issues of common concern.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah affirmed that relations between the UAE and Croatia are witnessing remarkable development in various fields under the patronage of the two countries' leadership.
Mr. Plankovic, affirmed the depth of the strategic relations between the two countries and the role of the two countries' leadership in strengthening them.
Sheikh Abdullah signed the Golden Book of guests immediately upon arrival at the headquarters of the Croatian government.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, and Zdravko Maric, Minister of Finance of Croatia, signed an agreement to avoid double taxation between the two countries.
The meeting was attended by Ali Al Ahmed, UAE's Non-Resident Ambassador to Croatia.
